When we label ourselves, we are
preventing God from shaping us into the sons and daughters he wants us to be.
Some of the labels we use are alcoholic, addict, adult child of an alcoholic,
just a housewife, jock, dumb, blonde, stupid, not good enough, too old, too
young, ugly, fat, skinny, and weak and the list goes on.
God created
us and he loves us just the way we are. He has a plan for your life. Start
telling yourself how beautiful, funny, smart, talented you are. Let Him shape you into the person He wants
you to be. Let's get rid of those labels!
But now, O Lord,
You are our Father;
We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all we are the work of Your hand.
Isaiah 64:8
