Prayer Challenge

I want to ask you to say this prayer out loud, if possible.

“I belong to God. I am a holy vessel because I have the Holy Spirit of the Living God. The Lord of Heaven and earth has said to me; “I declare you holy!”. I commit to start believing what He says. I AM HOLY! Remind me daily, Spirit of the Living God, to treat myself as holy, open my eyes to every scheme of The Enemy to treat me as if I'm not. You, God, are Holy. Your word is the truth. This day Father, I chose to believe you! I ask this in the mighty name of your son Jesus Christ, who died on a cross for me so that I could be a coheir to the kingdom of God. Amen”

Spring Ride in the Ozarks

As I ride through valley views
of sunny, daffodil swatches and red bud trees
The roadway rises in twists and turns
like a slithering snake newly emerged from hibernation
I'm following a blacktop ribbon
that rises to the ridge top and
emerges to a sea of spring blooming trees and baby green leaves
The rolling hills stretch out before me
as far as I can see
I am filled with a certainty
That there is no greater proof
That a loving God
Let his creativeness loose

Faith Times Three : An Acrostic Poem

Full of love and adoration for the Lord
Adore Jesus Christ and his sacrifice
In a relationship with a living God
Testifying about the Good News
Honoring the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit

Finding a strength beyond myself

Acknowledging my weakness - to accept His strength

Invisible belief without physical proof

Trials are no longer to be feared

Help and healing are mine to receive, as long as I believe

Faith in the Bible as written

Announcing God's Glory to all
Intent on following the narrow path
Telling Jesus all my troubles, listening to the Holy Spirit, appealing to the God of all

Helping and encouraging my brothers and sisters in faith

Sitting Idly in Park - A Poem About Waiting on the Lord

Sitting Idly in Park

God often takes a lot of time,
As he prepares an amazing new door,
For each of his heirs to walk through.
Doors that will lead to a new adventure in life,
Doors with the purpose of keeping his people,
Moving toward His heavenly throne.
Who doesn't want to arrive,
In front of God's throne to hear,
“Well done, good and faithful servant,”

As God has us sitting idly in park,
Sandwiched between two doors,
One behind us firmly closed,
One in front of us being prepared to swing wide.
There is no sense in knocking on the front door,
Because God won't answer until He,
Has set the scene and we,
Have prepared ourselves by,
Imprinting His teachings upon our heart,

Then, we will be ready to finally embark,
Upon a carefully planned, exciting journey,
A patiently prepared black belt warrior,
Overflowing with the Spirit of God.
A master of the Sword of the Spirit,
Ready to begin a new task for our Lord.
That is why God often takes a lot of time,
As he prepares an amazing new door,
For each of his heirs to walk through.

Jesus is Love

Unconditional love,
impressed upon my heart.
Jesus is gone from earthly life,
yet his love is always with me,
in me,
and around me.

Psalm of the Week -105:3-4 - November 15, 2015

Glory

God
Lord of all
Over all creation
Reveling in his holy name
Yahweh is good all the time

Rejoice

Revel in his love
Enjoy his protection and care
Joy leaps in the hearts of those who praise him
Overwhelming happiness to belong to him
Infinite mercy for those who seek him
Calling on his strength
Elohei Ma'uzzi - God of my strength

Seek

Strength is freely given to seekers by
Elohei Tehillati, God of my praise and
Elohei Mikkarov, my God who is near and dear
Keeping my face focused toward Him who lives inside me.

Battle Prayer

Though the world continues to grow dark,
Lighted lamps of faith will continue to shine.
Lifted high by saints, who will embark
On the joyous journey defined by Jesus Christ.

The faithful are fighting a spiritual battle.
Praying for persecuted, unknown saints,
Using the sword of the Spirit to rattle
The cage of our fallen foe.

Holding my shield of faith high,
Unwavering prayer continues to flow,
From the Spirit to my Savior beyond the sky
An armored prayer warrior continuing to grow.

Psalm of the Week - Psalm 3:1-4 - September 21, 2014

O LORD, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! Many are saying of me, "God will not deliver him."

But you are a shield around me, O LORD; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head. To the LORD I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill.

An Acrostic Poem Inspired By Psalm 3

Shield me from those who want to harm me in any way
Help me make it through today
Inspire me to do your will
Expecting a miracle from you
Lend me your ear, O Lord and
Deliver me from evil

Psalm of the Week - Psalm 32:1-5 - April 13, 2014

1 Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.

2 Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit.

3 When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.

4 For day and night your hand was heavy on me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer.

5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.

Personal Application

Lord, I am blissfully content since you forgave my transgressions. I am happy that your favor includes not counting my sins against me. When I kept quiet about my sins, my unhappiness kept me groaning and ill. My guilt sapped my strength. Then I turned to you and no longer tried to cover up the depths of my wrongdoings. I decided to confess my wrongs to you Lord. When I confessed, you forgave the sin and the guilt was gone. I am blessed.

Blessed - An Acrostic Praise

Blessed because I confessed,"Jesus is Lord."
Loved by the Lord
Enjoying peace
Surrounded by God's love because my
Sins were forgiven
Enfolded by joy
Delivered from sin

Psalm of the Week - Psalm 18: 28-29 - Week of January 27, 2014

28. You, O LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.
29. With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall

Personal Application
Lord, you are the fuel that keeps my light shining. You light my lamp. Lord you are with me when I am at my darkest and you, O Lord, turn my darkness into light. With your help Father, I can keep going forward against opposition and overcome obstacles. You are the oil that keeps my lamp burning brightly.

Relationship Lost

Adam

Clay in His hands

Born of the earth and filled with His spirit

A fragile vessel shaped and molded for His use

Disobedience cracked the perfect relationship

Eve

Clay in His hands

Born of earth and Adam’s rib

Filled with His spirit

A fragile vessel shaped and molded for His use

Disobedience cracked the perfect relationship

Jesus

Clay in His hands

Born of a virgin and filled with His spirit

A fragile vessel shaped and molded for His use

Obedience healed the perfect relationship

Me

Clay in His hands

Born of man and woman

Filled with His spirit

A fragile vessel shaped and molded for His use.

Obedience promises the perfect relationship

Merry Christmas - A Message of Faith

Matthew 1:18-24; Matthew 2:1-2; Luke 1:26-56; Luke 2:1-20

Mary, a virgin, was told by the angel Gabriel that she would give birth to a son.

Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and proclaimed, "...blessed is the child you will bear."

Rejoicing together, Mary sang a song of praise to God.

Returning home, Mary was found to be with child.

"You will name the child Jesus." said the angel Gabriel.

Considering a divorce from Mary, Joseph had a dream in which an angel told him the truth about Mary's pregnancy.

Heartened by the angelic message from God, Joseph took Mary home as his wife.

Registration for a census was decreed by Caesar Augustus for the entire Roman world.

In obedience, Joseph and Mary traveled to Bethlehem and could find no place in an inn, only in the stable of an inn.

Silent animals watched Mary give birth to the baby Jesus.

The newborn babe was wrapped in cloths and laid in the manger.

Magi from the east saw his star and began a journey to come and worship him.

Angels sang to shepherds, "Glory to God on the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."

Shepherds spread the good news when they went to Bethlehem and found Mary, and Joseph, and the baby.
