Prayer Challenge

I want to ask you to say this prayer out loud, if possible.

“I belong to God. I am a holy vessel because I have the Holy Spirit of the Living God. The Lord of Heaven and earth has said to me; “I declare you holy!”. I commit to start believing what He says. I AM HOLY! Remind me daily, Spirit of the Living God, to treat myself as holy, open my eyes to every scheme of The Enemy to treat me as if I'm not. You, God, are Holy. Your word is the truth. This day Father, I chose to believe you! I ask this in the mighty name of your son Jesus Christ, who died on a cross for me so that I could be a coheir to the kingdom of God. Amen”

Verse of the Week - Isaiah 54:10 - Week of April 13, 2015

Though the mountains be shaken
and the hills be removed, yet my
unfailing love for you will not be
 shaken nor my covenant of
peace be removed," says the
LORD, who has compassion on
you.

Reading this verse fills me with amazement, wonder, and joy

God loves you through every storm. His love is always there and it will not be shaken. What a wonderful promise! You are his beloved. This is what Matthew Henry had to say about this verse:

"...Mountains have been shaken and removed, but the promises of God never were broken by any event...when our friends fail us, our God does not...God will rebuke and correct his people...but he will not cast them off."

Personal Prayer
Father, you have promised that your love is unfailing and your covenant of peace will not be removed. I am claiming this promise for myself. Thank your Lord for caring so much about me and promising to be with me through every storm. Amen.

Psalm of the Week - 16:1-2;7-9 - Week of April 13, 2015

Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge. I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing."...I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I have set the LORD always before me, because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure,

Written by David, Practiced by Jesus
David may have written this psalm, but it also applies to Jesus. Jesus prayed on all occasions to his Father, God. Jesus never wavered in his faith when Satan tempted him in the wilderness.

Do You Reflect Jesus in Your Daily Walk?
Our daily walk with the Lord should mirror Jesus' example. Remember WWJD, or What Would Jesus Do? Jesus took refuge with his Father, sought his Father in prayer, listened to God's counsel, and set God before himself in all things. Jesus praised and worshiped his heavenly Father.

Psalm 16 is a Personal Prayer
Psalm 16 is written in first person. Therefore, you can apply it to yourself by just reading it. Isn't God awesome? David wrote and practiced these verses, Jesus practiced these verses, and you can practice it too. Truly, scripture is a living document.

CMA MO P31 Womens Conference

Blessing my motorcycle for the 2015 ride season.

My friends and I posing in fron of a gorgeous quilt made by Kathi Crawford of Crocker, MO. The quilt was the grand prize give away.

This morning finds me in Farmington, MO. I arrived here, at the New Horizons Church, for the CMA (Christian Motorcyclists Association) Womens Conference about nine o'clock Friday night. My first night ride of the motorcycle season!

What could be more fun than having a sleep over with your girlfriends and worshipping the Lord? My friends Kathi, Genie, Joanne, Deb, and I have had a marvelous time. We haven't spent girlfriend time together since we gathered in Springfield, MO for the CMA National Womens Conference in 2014. Or was it 2013? Hmmm, I think it was 2014. However, that isn't important right now.

The P31 in the title stands for Proverbs 31. The Proverbs 31 woman, or the Wife of Noble Character. Key words were posted on blackboard signs on the stage - Trustworthy, Strong, Wisdom, and Diligence. The keynote speakers spoke on these topics and added their own verses, too.

We discovered a small restaurant, The Coffee Grill, that has marvelous fried pickles, onion rings of huge size, and an attentive owner. The girls had dinner there Friday night, before I arrived, and we all walked there during the afternoon break to have tea, soda, and of course, eat fried pickles.

At 8:30, I am attending church. Then, I will be adding pictures and updating this post when I arrive home. Until then, pray for the safety of the women who are traveling back to their homes today.

Hugs and Love,
Sallee

Easter Morning Crown and Flower Cookies

Kid art Easter crown and flower cookies. Jesus traded his crown of thorns for his heavenly crown when he arose on Easter Sunday morning. In remembrance of this event, I made my almost famous, sugar cookies and piped on royal icing in purple and yellow. Purple for royalty and yellow for remembrance.
